I am just a fellow mama and I love this podcast! It is so inspiring to hear the stories of these sweet Moms who have been through so much and are making it through each day. Thank you to the host, Katie, for making this podcast happen!

I have loved listening to these podcasts. As a mother of a medically complex child I have found hearing other stories from parents encouraging, validating and insightful. I’ve had many “me too, I totally understand” moments, and have taken away some useful bits of advice along the way. I particularly have really valued learning about some unique journeys with diagnoses I was not familiar with, and find myself feeling more empathy towards others with a range of unique challenges.

This podcast is so full of honesty and resilience. Katie gives parents the space they need to tell their stories. She listens well, acknowledges both their hardships and their courage, and then gives them a way to reach out and help other families going through similar experiences! It is an amazing process to witness.

I am a fellow certified child life specialist whose been in the field for over 11 years. Currently serving the NICU. I began listening to this podcast (my first podcast ever) this month as recommended by a colleague of mine & I am hooked. I’ve listened to at least 9 and I feel like they keep getting better. I’ve always loved hearing from parents and families as they are our greatest teachers. I am so glad you are making our profession proud and being a beautiful resource for cclss and families!

I really enjoy this podcast as a student in child life. Although I really enjoy the stories and the different perspectives of the parents, I would enjoy hearing about your experience as a child life specialist. And also more about the child life profession.

As a nurse I have truly enjoyed listening to the patient and family perspective of managing difficult and emotional times with medical diagnosis and conditions. As a healthcare provider for over 10 years managing acute and chronic care of patients and their families, I have a very narrow view of what these families go through. Katie's story telling has provided me with an opportunity to listen to these stories with newly found empathy. ❤️👩‍⚕️

As a Child Life Intern and aspiring Child Life Specialist, this podcast is such a gift to listen to. To hear these families stories and put myself in their shoes, reminds me why I am called to this profession. I have already recommended this podcast to family friends who have had children in he hospital and will continue to do so. Thank you for this podcast, Katie. :)

As a CCLS, I was thrilled to find this podcast. I listen to it exclusively in the car and I look forward to a new episode each week. It's wonderful to hear these families' stories of bravery and triumph and learn more about specific conditions these children face. Child Life On Call is excellent 😊

As a mom to a kid with a genetic condition, I find myself listening to each episode nodding in agreement and astonished to hear someone else say the exact words I have at times thought. It is very reassuring to hear others that have gone through similar things you have tell their journey and see that maybe you're not so alone and maybe there are more mamas out there that understand than you think.

Child Life On Call does such a beautiful just telling the stories of children and families. You can go through schooling, training, and read all the books but the lessons you learn from these families are invaluable. Katie Taylor brings a level of professional expertise and personal compassion that allows families to open up about the most critical moments in their lives. Thank you for getting these stories out for the world to get a peek into the human side of pediatric health care. So impressive! I can't wait to listen more!

I love every bit of this podcast!!! Not only does Katie host this podcast in a way that keeps my attention and makes me always want more, but she asks all the good questions and makes this podcast a space where anyone can be encouraged and share helpful tips on dealing with some of life's most difficult times. The stories of the families are so inspiring, too. It reminds me that everyone I meet could be facing such a life-altering battle that you have no clue about. That we are all in this wild ride of our together, we need to be there for and with each other. Can't wait for every Monday when the next episode is out. LOVE IT!
